CHC-500E-LI1000 Solar Energy Charger has the following leading features:
1. Inside have Li-polymer rechargeable battery, can charge automatically.
2. Output is 5V/500mA (±5∽10%),only suitable for electronic products with power control part.

Please read the following instructions carefully before use.
The Charger should be used only with Lithium ion or Lithium polymer batteries that are marked “rechargeable”
·How to charge the Lithium batteries inside
1. Connect with DC 5V adapter or put the charger into the sunshine (In sunny days)
2. The LED indicator is red when the charging process is on. Once the batteries are fully charged, the LED indicator will turn to green, you can remove the DC power supply safely.
·How to discharge for electronic products
1. When discharging for the specified electronic products, please move the switch on the right to “discharge” with hand .
2. Whether the charger is being charging or not, as long as the switch is at the “discharge ”mode, the charger can discharge for electronic products either. This function is called “plug and play”.
3. In the “plug and play” mode, when lack of electrical voltage, the LED indicator will turn to red. In this case, if discharge process continued, it will be cut off automatically when reaches the safety voltage. If you want to discharge next time, should charge before use and move the switch to “charge” mode, then move it to “discharge ”mode with hand.(You’d better have the Lithium ion or Lithium polymer battery fully charged when use DC charging mode.)
Notes:
·If the LED indicator constantly flashes on and off during the charging process or does not turn on, Please refer to LED Indicator and the corresponding electrical voltage status chart。
·In the plug and play mode, you’ better have the battery fully charged before discharge for the second time.
·Please make sure to remove the adapter from the DC outlet after each use.
·Never expose the charger outdoor for a long time when the charger is not in use.

Remark: Above discharging time is for reference only, it is different from the type of mobile phone. At present solar charger have two types classified by the capacity of inside Li-polymer battery.
Warning
·The Charger should be used only with Lithium ion or Lithium polymer batteries
·Never charge other types of batteries, such as Alkaline or Carbon Zinc as this may cause them to become hot, leak or rupture, causing personal injury or property damage.
·Keep away from children when charging. Don’t let children play with the charger when it is not being used
·Use the charger properly to avoid electric shock.
·Don’t reassemble or disassemble the charger. As this may cause dangers, such as catching fire, exploding, causing personal injury or property damage.
Caution
l The battery charger is for sunny days use only. Never expose the charger to rain or snow.
l The charger should be disconnected from the outlet when the charging processes complete or when the charger is not in use.
l Do not drop, place heavy weight on, or allow strong impact to the charger
l Children should only use the charger under adult supervision.
l Operating Temperature: 0℃-40℃ . To optimize charging capacity , charge the batteries in temperatures between 10℃-30℃ .
l Insert rechargeable battery properly. Align + and - terminals correctly.
l If the power voltage is below 4.5v,charger can’t work.
l Should be used only with Lithium ion or Lithium polymer batteries that are marked “rechargeable”
l The charge current rate must below 1C。
l If charger can’t work, please check the power polarity.
l Don’t overcharge, or batteries characteristics will become worse.
Instructions for the Lithium rechargeable batteries
The batteries included are not charged. It is necessary to charge the batteries before using them for the first time. The contact surface of the batteries or charger must always be kept clean.
· Don’t expose the batteries to water. Don’t heat the batteries or dispose of them in fire.
· Don’t tear off the jacket label. Don’t disassemble or reassemble the batteries.
· Don’t short-circuit the batteries. To avoid short-circuiting, keep away from all metal objects( e.g. coins, hair-ping, keys, etc)
· If the batteries are stored without use ,either partially discharged or fully discharged for 6months or longer, they may require several cycles of charging and discharging in order to attain their original charge capacity.
