The China End-Use Energy Efficiency Project (EUEEP) is an international co-operation project between the Chinese Government represented by National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), the United Nations Development Programme and the Global Environment Facility. The project aims to promote energy efficiency in major energy consuming sectors (industrial and buildings) which will be achieved through partnerships with donors to assist China in establishing sustainable and market-based energy efficiency policies and standards, enforcing a comprehensive and effective energy conservation policy and regulatory system, leading to improved economic productivity, reduced greenhouse gas emissions, and an improved global environment. EUEEP is designed to support the first phase of four 3-year phases, 12-year strategic plan.
EUEEP is under National Execution. The National Executive Agency of EUEEP is the Department of Resources Conservation and Environmental Protection of NDRC. EUEEP Project Management Office (PMO) is responsible for project management and implementation. As the project services provider, China International Center for Economic and Technical Exchanges is responsible for the bidding and contracting of subcontracts.
